Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf: A League of Legends: Arcane Novel (Arcane: a League of Legends)

Nothing can get in the way of Ambessa becoming the head of her clan; it is her destiny after all. When her grandfather dies without announcing his heir, the fight for her place begins. She must choose what’s important, her family or her destiny, and leave one of them behind.

Ambessa is willing to do anything to become the head of her family, but there’s so much more to her and her story than that. The relationship with her children is complicated; she’s doing what she believes is best, and yet questions her choices at times. She’s full of contradiction. I loved her and hated her, and I could see her point of view as a mother and how it comes across to her children. She’s a strong warrior, yet she doesn’t judge (well, mostly) others for weaknesses.

The other characters are well thought out as well, with different motives and personalities. I can easily understand why they do the things they do, whether or not it’s the right choice, it is to them.

You don’t need to have watched Arcane or played League of Legends to read this, but there are some creatures and races that aren’t described well, as if assuming you have played.
