Olivia Wolf and a Million Olivias
Olivia Wolf and her friends are excited about Sam’s birthday party at their favorite spot, Mick Rabbit’s Fun Park, the best in the world. But a latent evil – driven by revenge – has other plans to ruin the fun. As mayhem breaks loose with a million other Olivias, the friends scramble to find a solution to identify the real Olivia. They discover a special edition comic book with a unique connection to their werewolf friend. Elliott, Greta, and the rest of the gang are in for a wild adventure as they try to break the spell and save Monstrocity from utter destruction.
In the latest in the Olivia Wolf series, author and illustrator José Fragoso adds to the legend of the ragtag band of monster friends. Even though I am not familiar with the previous releases, Fragoso offers a quick introduction to the characters. I enjoyed the pace of the action and wholesome humor throughout. The book is written in a way that will keep the attention of action-oriented young readers. Any child who has been to a birthday party in a theme park can relate to all the excitement that comes with ball pits and arcade games. There are important lessons about friendships and relying on one’s talents and problem-solving skills.
