The Woman Inside: A Novel
The Woman Inside is an on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller that readers will find engaging from the very first page. Bill is a newly widowed man and must make ends meet to support himself and his eight-year-old daughter, Sally. He invites a lodger to stay with him and Sally and Karla is a great fit for the father-daughter duo. Sally loves Karla like a big sister. Karla is going to school to become a judge and works cleaning houses. One of the houses she cleans is for a very wealthy couple, Steven and Regina. Regina is ill and Steven tells Karla that she must stay in bed all the time. The chapters are told from points of view of each of the characters including a woman named Jennica who is dating Steven and doesn’t know he is still married. Jennica grew up with Bill’s deceased wife Miranda. As things get messy and Bill becomes desperate to make money, all of the characters are drawn into the suspenseful plot. Steven and Regina are found dead in their home and several chapters are of the interrogation of each character. This book is exciting from start to finish and readers will not be disappointed.
