Murder Takes a Vacation: A Riveting Mystery of Deception, Art Theft, and Unexpected Romance on a Parisian Cruise―Perfect for Summer Reading
Muriel Blossom is a practical woman. By her own account, she is quite ordinary. The only interesting thing that’s happened to her is that she recently won a lottery. With some of her winnings in hand, she’s decided to take a European cruise down the Seine in France. At the airport, she meets a handsome man who helps her navigate a daunting layover in London. Once in Paris, she is surprised to learn of his death. It doesn’t take long for Muriel to get a sense that she’s being followed. Could she be in danger? Is it connected to the death of a man she only recently met? She can’t be sure, but she isn’t going to let it stop her long-awaited vacation, even if she has to do some sleuthing on the side.
Murder Takes a Vacation is an entertaining mystery. The setting is wonderful, and Muriel Blossom is an unforgettable character. I’m sure many women will be able to identify with her. This is my first time reading anything by this author, but it definitely will not be the last.
