Made You Look

Made You Look is a story about a group of social media influencers who take a trip during winter into the Catskills. The resort they stay at is new and is not yet open to the public. The star of the show is Sydney, and pretty much the whole book centers around her and her brand. Her best friend, Lucy, is, in my opinion, the only likable character in the book. Everyone else is just a bit full of themselves.

The book is told from the perspective of Lucy and another influencer named Caitlyn. I felt the story was a bit slow at first. It didn’t pick up speed until past the halfway mark, when people started dying. The author gives the reader a lot of background information, and at first, I thought it was irrelevant. By the end of the book, however, the pieces fit neatly together, and loose ends are tied up.

This wasn’t my favorite book, but it also wasn’t awful. I think the writing could have been a bit smoother when it came to why the characters did what they did in the book.
