Louder Than Words
Jordyn is nervous to be starting at a new school, but not with the usual new girl jitters. She has a secret: She was expelled from her previous school, but she honestly, truly wants to make a new start, be a better person, avoid all that drama. However, the school she transfers to has a dark side. Tomcat Tea airs each Sunday night, shared by an anonymous podcaster, spilling the dirt on students and teachers alike and sharing their innermost secrets.
When the podcast attacks Zay, Jordyn’s new friend and possible love interest, Jordyn knows she cannot sit back and allow the attacks to continue. She organizes her new quirky group of friends and they do something about it. But when her own secret comes out, she doesn’t know how she can keep showing up, fighting for others, when she doesn’t know how to fight for herself.
Told by alternating flashbacks with current events, Louder Than Words asks whether we can really change, especially when social media is there to chronicle everything in our lives. Though her actions in the past are despicable, her current actions provide hope that things can be overcome, righted and placed firmly in the past.
