Lisa has a pretty idyllic life—a loving family, plenty of friends at school, and an amazing boyfriend. But she also has some secrets. Her father has just told the family that he is dying. The voices are completely believable, and the stories each tells will fascinate readers and keep pages turning. Zail’s research shines through as she brings the father’s story to life, one horror after another. This is an excellent way for young people to learn about this dark chapter in history.
