In the Wick of Time (Magic Candle Shop Mystery)

This is the second book I’ve read by Valona Jones and, like the first one I read, it was cute and witty. I love a good, simple cozy mystery now and again. Energetic twin sisters Tabby and Sage are happy. Sage is dating Brindle, a local attorney and Tabby is dating Quig, the local Medical Examiner. Sage works at a nursery and Tabby at her family’s candle shop. When Sage’s boss, Loren is found dead from poisoning, Sage is the number one suspect since she has a lot of knowledge about plants. But Tabby knows her sister is innocent. With more quirky characters introduced into the mix, In the Wick of Time is a fun adventure for fans of small town mysteries. I think my favorite part of the book is when Tabby is spellbound and gets the hiccups which make her go in and out of being invisible. I like the way the sisters and their family members have energetic powers but they don’t overuse them. I also really like how Tabby and Sage can speak telepathically.
