I Love It When You Lie: A suspense novel

I Love It When You Lie follows the story of three sisters, June, Clementine, and Tara, after the death of their beloved grandmother. Over the course of three days, we see what each sister is dealing with. June longs to have a baby but has only had miscarriages so far. Clementine is dating her married professor, who seems to actually be the monster other women are calling him out to be. Tara is the wife of a pastor and also happens to be stealing money from their church. Everything will come to a head at Gran’s funeral, with one man from their life going missing.

While each of these sisters is obviously making poor choices in different areas of their lives, you can relate to their brokenness and how they are doing the best they can. Their love for each other shines through and you can’t help but hope that everything works out for them in the end. I loved that you don’t even find out which man is the victim until the last few chapters. This story is reminiscent of Big Little Lies but still worth the read. I recommend this to those who love a good family drama.
