Death and the Librarian: A Blue Ridge Library Mystery
Summer has just rolled around in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Amy Muir, the librarian in Taylorsford, is looking forward to the festival season. One of the first events is a talk by a well-known author specializing in cold cases. The author has taken an interest in a local cold case that has set the villagers talking about a man who disappeared a decade ago without a trace. When the author turns up dead, Amy agrees to help the local sheriff by conducting some research in the town’s archives. It doesn’t take long for Amy to become a little more involved than she should, making her a target for a possible killer.
Death and the Librarian is a satisfying cozy mystery that brings together a cast of interesting characters in a lovely setting. It’s well plotted, leaving the reader guessing right up to the end. The author spices up all her works with a wealth of intricate details and characters who feel authentic and likable. I adored the upbeat, determined librarian in this installment of the Blue Ridge Mountain Mystery Series. If you are looking for a good read that you can curl up with on a lazy afternoon, this is a great choice.
