Pride or Die: A Novel

Eleanora Finkel created the LGBTQ+ club at her Texas high school to have a safe space for teens like her. When Kenley, head cheerleader and mean girl, misquotes the group as the BLT club, the group becomes prime bullying material. Only her faithful members and friends, Salim, Noah, and Tyler, stick with her. After holding a meeting in a classroom during a school pep rally, Eleanora finds Kenley in the hall, bleeding, knocked out, and in bad shape.

As evidence points toward the club, they all become suspects, leading to the suspension of their club and academic probation. The only way to clear their names is to find who did it, but the principal is against them, the security officer is unfriendly, and the video footage is missing. This is not going to be easy, but their futures (and Homecoming) are at stake!

The LGBTQ+ group discovers the clues gradually but in a delightfully humorous way. Eleanora’s demons battle each other throughout – trying to maintain her friendships while saving their futures is tough work, especially if she may be falling for her eternal enemy. Her friends are quirky, trusting and fierce, and the social commentary is timely indeed. Fabulous fun.
