Lies He Told Me: She’s in love―with a liar.
Lies He Told Me is another fascinating thriller from James Patterson and David Ellis. Marcie and David Bowers are walking along the bridge David proposed at when they see a vehicle go off the road and into the water. David jumps in to save the people in the vehicle and quickly gains notoriety as a smalltown hero. Unfortunately, when his face shows up on the news, people from his past resurface and David, Marcie, and their kids are faced with unimaginable danger.
As a high-powered attorney who worked a big mob case in the past in which things went awry, Marcie is glad to be back in her small hometown of Hemingway Grove. But after David’s heroic stunt, her past is pulled into her present and she must figure out who she can and can’t trust.
This book is fast-paced with several twists and turns. Who is David Bowers and is he a hero or a villain? Did Marcie know about his sordid past? Patterson and Ellis work well together to keep their audience guessing until the end.
