Identity: A Novel
All Morgan Albright wants is to set down roots and call someplace her home. Having been an army brat her whole life and the only child of divorced parents, she needs a way to live opposite to what she knows and figure out who she is. Morgan is on the path to her goal with two successful jobs, a house with a roommate who has become her best friend, and plans for each stage. Everything changes when she meets Luke, a charismatic, handsome, and overall wonderful guy who turns out to be much more than anyone expected. Morgan must uproot her carefully set roots and start over as she prepares for his imminent return to take care of his mistake of letting Morgan live.
Identity is another literary success; the story may feel personal to the reader, which helps enforce the importance of cautious trust among strangers and smooth men. The central relationship reads as both male-heavy and shows the softer side of men. The relationships among the three prominent females present empowered women who take charge of their lives as necessary. Identity is for a mature audience, but it’s well worth the read, with romance, suspense, and a little spice thrown in.
